“Very Very Impressed”
We have been very pleased with our ortho experience. Dr Monacell and his staff are extremely patient, kind and gentle. My daughter started her 1st phase of braces about a year ago when she was 6. Getting upper and lower palette expanders on a 6 year old could have been a nightmare but his office made it a breeze! There was very little discomfort and almost no fear! I was very very impressed.
Invisalign® First works by expanding and contouring your child’s jawline through what is known as dental arch expansion. Dental arch expansion involves moving your child’s teeth over time to increase the width of their dental arch. As an authorized Invisalign® orthodontist, Dr. Monacell will evaluate your child’s situation and explain if Invisalign® First will be an option.
Your Child’s Aligners
If so, your child will receive a customized set of aligners made specifically for them. Depending on your child’s needs, he or she may require a full pair of aligners or just one aligner. Certain teeth may require attachments to be placed on their surface. Attachments will help direct pressure from the retainer device to the necessary teeth.
Your Child’s Plan
Dr. Monacell prepares an individual treatment plan for each patient and offers you the best options for your particular orthodontic issues.

Types of Braces
Braces are a tried-and-true method for correcting your oral misalignment issues and crooked teeth. Currently, approximately four million people in the U.S. wear braces, with one million of those being adults. Not only do braces correct appearance problems, but they can also correct and prevent physical problems caused by misaligned teeth and jaws. Braces are an important tool for achieving dental health.
Monacell Orthodontics Metal Braces
Metal, or traditional, braces are the most common type of dental braces used in orthodontic treatment. Metal brackets, which are durable and more comfortable than ever before, are bonded to the front of each tooth and act as anchors holding the archwire in place.
Monacell Orthodontics Clear Braces
Suitable for some patients, clear ceramic braces offer a cosmetic alternative to the metal. The clear brackets are bonded to the front teeth and act as anchors holding the archwire in place. Ceramic braces are slightly less durable than the traditional metal brackets due to the material’s composition.
Monacell Orthodontics Clear Aligner Systems
Some patients can be treated with clear plastic aligners that are nearly invisible and can be removed for dental care, eating and drinking. The patient wears a series of slightly differently shaped appliances over a matter of months or years to correct tooth alignment.
Lingual Braces Monacell Orthodontics
Lingual braces are an invisible version of metal braces. They are applied to the back, or lingual, side of your teeth so they do not affect your appearance.
